Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my restored/modified 1971 Mach 1 Mustang. I bought it locally in 1995 as an empty but solid shell, and proceeded to spend the next 8 years putting it together the way I wanted. I went over every piece of the car, cleaning and restoring and replacing and upgrading. The basecoat/clearcoat was professionally applied, but I otherwise built the rest of the car from the ground up. As the years have passed since first completing the car, I have improved items as reproduction and aftermarket parts have become more available for these Mustangs. If you've dreamt of having a fun, loud, look-at-me musclecar with a V-8 and a stick, something that gets plenty of thumbs-up on the road and fans at cruise-ins, then this is the car for you. It's got all the personality and looks you want, without the baggage of having to meticulously clean and worry over a survivor car or concours restoration. The Ohio title is clear. The car has always been garaged and never driven in rain or snow. It comes with a high-quality fitted dust cover and miscellaneous parts. It is clean inside and out, and underneath as well—there is footage in my video (see URL below) of the underside of the car on a lift, and I can provide photos as requested. There are minor cosmetic issues, most notably cracked paint in the door edges—filler was used in these areas to repair rust damage, because at the time there were no reproduction door shells for these cars (Dynacorn now makes really nice complete door shells). I have attempted to include all the essential details here, and the video I posted on YouTube contains many more photos and GoPro clips, but feel free to ask about anything I haven't covered. And thanks for looking! The winning bidder must place a $500 deposit via PayPal within 72 hours. The balance must be paid via wire transfer. Shipping arrangements are the winning bidder's responsibility. However, I am offering free delivery on an open trailer within 150 road miles of Cincinnati.
