I did hook up a battery prior to buying, the engine will crank with the key, I know the engine will crank with a battery and is not locked up but I never went any further on trying to put gas into it to get it started. The car needs a good cleaning overall, it is dirty in and out due to being stored for many years. I purchased a few cars from a local car collector that was loosing his storage and this one was in the mix on the package to get the one I wanted. Overall I think its a very cool car with a very good foundation to get put on the road with some weekend work in leaving the way it is, but a nice HEMI would go well in this ride if you want to really give it some flair.
