Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a fully restored 1985 Berkshire Land Rover (BLR) Defender 110 in Stornaway Grey. US Legal and registered as a 1985 BLR Replica. Heavily optioned (see attached invoice) with a list price of over $140K including shipping. Delivered in early 2014 and has been driven only 5000 miles since. Believed to be the only Defender in the US with the Range Rover automatic transmission mated to the 2.4 TDCi Turbo Diesel. Seating for seven with rear folding jump seats. Never smoked in. Fully detailed and in great condition but does have a few small chips and light scratches that have been professionally touched up. Optioned to the gills with: Parking Sensors, Rear View Camera, Parrot Bluetooth Stereo, Power Amp and Subwoofer, Cruise Control, Heated Windshield and Mirrors, Heated Front and Rear Seats, Alarm with Central Locking, Performance Pack (Dual Exhaust, Bigger Intercooler, ECU Upgrade Chip), Jet Semi Aniline Leather Interior with Ivory Stitching, Alcantara Headliner, Dynamat Sound Proofed Bulkhead and Floorboards and the list goes on and on... I've embedded over 70 detailed photos below. Please email me with any questions. I'm selling this for a friend but I'm happy to forward any questions I can't answer. Please don't ask what the reserve is. I will say that it's very reasonable considering what the current owner paid just a few months ago. Good luck bidding! On Sep-25-14 at 19:36:04 PDT, seller added the following information: It has been brought to my attention that the transmission ECU (computer) could benefit from reprogramming for better shift points with the turbo diesel. This transmission was originally designed for the Range Rover, and as a result it shifts into overdrive early and makes some noise at low RPM's when cruising around 25-30mph. The noise goes away when it downshifts to accelerate. I'm currently looking into having it reprogrammed and will try to have it taken care of before the new owner takes delivery. On Oct-01-14 at 19:20:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 10/1 The transmission has been reprogrammed for better shift points and the noise has gone away.
