Up for sale is my 68 Mercedes 280s.. i purchased this car about 5 years ago from the original owner, i was hoping to do a complete restoration one day, but plans changed and now its up for sale... its a all Original California car since new and still bears its original blue license plates, its always lived in dry climate.. i believe that its the original paint which still shines up nicely, does have its regular wear and tear and its all original .. it does have parking dings and dents and light scratches and the right front fender is dented as well, chrome is mostly in great shape, all hubcaps and trims are intact.. glasses are in good shape, all lights work , horn works, overall very nice looking exterior with its original patina ,,,, the interior is also all original and looks great for its age.. manual door locks and manual windows all work fine, all gauges work in order, horn works, the ac was done some time ago and still works and blows cold air :)) the vent switches are cracked , sunvisor clips are cracked, headliner is clean, dash is overall clean with one crack, overall nice and comfortable interior..... Mechanically its ok... starts right up and runs very nice, engine sounds great and does not smoke or shake, however it does have a transmission leak from the side vacuum modulator which will need a new gasket for the module, automatic transmission is ok, no slips.. that leak and vacuum module will need to be repaired in the near future because the leak is annoying.. i still drive it up to 70mph and still use it once in a while , but its not my daily driver that's why i haven't fixed every single thing that needs attention.. please take this into consideration and understand your purchasing a original 68 benz, so minor repairs and weekend touch ups will be normal .. that's the whole point of owning a classic.. all parts for this car are easy to find and available.... and price will only go up in time.. i have a brand new Mercedes as a daily driver and this car drives better than my new one.. this is the last of truly hand built Mercedes cars.. .. I have a clear California title under my name and its ready to sell..
