500cc Cheney Triumph up for auction. This is Cheney frame number TRI 312. We recently sold Cheney frame number 311. THERE IS NO TITLE FOR THIS MOTORCYCLE. This bike was meant for off road competition use only and the frame was never issued a title. The motor in this bike is a 1970 T100C. We recently installed new Emgo ET replica coils. The bike starts easily and runs pretty good. In the video below it is running from a cold start. It dies once but starts back up. We have ridden this bike up and down the street, it goes pretty good for a tired old British dirt bike. We do not know when the last time this bike was ridden or any real history behind it. Its still got some of the oil and dirt stuck to it from the last time it was off road. The lights are currently not working, should be easy enough to fix. This is a neat bike with some trick period parts. The front brake works REALLY well. We did the minimum to get this bike to start and run. If it is to be used regularly or in anger it should be sorted a little better. Previously it had been parked for at least five years. Its kinda fast for a 500 Triumph, has a single 932 Amal carburetor. This could be made street legal. There is one noticeable scratch in the alloy tank, other than that the alloy tank and panels are in good shape considering its a forty year old dirt bike. There is a wide ratio gearbox installed in this motor. $500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction ending, full balance to be paid within two weeks from auction end date. The bike will need to be picked up or shipped within three weeks of the auction end.
