I have for sale a 1955 Desoto Firedome and included in the sale are many parts. It is a very solid car that has been kept in a garage its entire life. Purchased new by my grandparents and was purchased from Dailey Motors in Yanceyville N.C. in 1955 and I have the original registration card. It is tutone Cove green and Lexington green and has the 291 Hemi engine with a automatic transmission. It does need a paint job and has almost no rust to repair. The only places that I can see that will need metal work is a small place on the lower quarter behind the rear wheel on the driver side and on the rocker panel on the pass side in front of the rear wheel. The odometer does not work but very few miles have been driven since it stopped. It does have the usual bumps and scrapes that any car this age will have but only minor concerns. It runs great and the transmission changes great however the last time I drove it the rear wheel brake cylinder was leaking of which I have the parts for that repair. I have collected a huge lot of new and used parts for a complete restoration. I have about $3000.00 in parts for the car to perform a first class restoration. The seats have been recovered and look outstanding. As you can see I purchased parts to restore and maintain this car for a long time. This is a very good car and would be easy to restore or just enjoy it the way it is now.
