BENTLEY EIGHT Rare Model!Very Few US Examples in Existence!Fresh From Storage! This 1987 Bentley Eight has been in storage for the past year. It was put into storage after incurring damage to the driver’s door while in a parking garage. After being damaged, the driver's door was professionally removed and attached only for photographing. Prior to being stored, this car was driven on a regular basis. With a fresh battery, the engine easily turns over; however, this car has not been driven since being stored and will need a new battery and all of the fluids flushed (gasoline, brake fluid, power steering fluid, etc.) before the engine is started. Aside from the driver’s door and windows on the driver’s side, the exterior of the car is in fair condition. There is some fading of the paint in places – most notably along the right, front fender – but most elsewhere the paint still shows a nice shine. There are some dents, which again are mainly limited to the area surrounding the driver’s door. Some surface corrosion can be found, which is mainly confined to small areas along the rocker panels. All of the chrome on the car is in very good condition and shines nicely. The inside of the car is quite clean. The driver’s seat has typical tearing of the leather, but the rest of the leather is free from tears or cracks. The veneer on the wood window sill of the driver’s and driver’s side rear passenger door is peeling from moisture. Part of the key broke while in the ignition, however, this does not affect the ignition switch and it operates smoothly without any problems. All of the gauges and indicator lights appear to be working as well as the other switches and interior controls. The headliner is extremely clean with no tears or stains, as are the carpets. There are no unpleasant odors on the inside and no one appears to have ever smoked in the car. This is a solid Bentley Eight that will take some time to restore to its full potential, but is certainly quite capable of being a very enjoyable car. Neither the car nor the title will be released until all funds have cleared my bank.
