Vehicle Detail

1955 ford C-800 cab over truck. Cab is mounted on a 1989 ford econoline 350 van frame. Coil spring front suspension, leaf rear. All new brakes and brake parts. Disk front, drum rear.Flatbed is all wood construction and measures 10' long x 7'2" wide. Electrical system has been converted to 12 volt and everything functions. Engine is ford 391 ( no, not a 390) from a F600 with a ford 5 speed manual trans. The 5th gear is believed to be direct drive, not overdrive. Tires are 265/75/r16 on aluminum wheels. Rear axle is believed to be 3:73 ratio. Power steering, power brakes, hydraulic clutch. Dual exhaust. Has receiver hitch with brake controller. Was built in September 2012. 38 gal gas tank. Box on the bed is storage for spare tire and tools. Can remove the box if you don't want it. Has cb and radio/cd player. The seat was redone, but has a funky spot that shifted at the driver side corner. The rear window is made of wood, but a glass replacement can be purchased through LMC for around $80 with new rubber. Not quite show quality, but still a rare truck that is fun to drive and turns heads. Paint looks good from a couple feet away but is not show quality, but we are not asking for a show truck price tag. Runs great and needs nothing. Located in Denver Colorado. We can work with your shipping company if you need it shipped. Winning bidder must deposit $500 into PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. Balance in Cash upon pickup or before shipping. No warranty is implied. I'm listing this for my father, but I can answer any questions. Kris at 303-332-2776. Video of it running http://youtu.be/cJyw9l--MG4 On Sep-26-14 at 13:35:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok got some more info from my father yesterday More photos and 2 videos can be found here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0AUOOO47dA9YXZ1aC11NWNkY1U/view?usp=sharing The truck stands 94" tall, so plan on that for keeping it in a garage, its quite tall The drivetrain and truck as it sits now has less than 1,000 miles on it. The window track in new from LMC the wing windows are made from plexiglass and do not open, but they can be fixed to function if you can find the parts. The armrest pads are not perfect but can be replaced from LMC Has new door weatherstrip The floor has sound deadening audio wrap under the carpet. The seat frame is original and has been reupholstered and is 60" long. The steering column is from a 72 ford truck Has LMC turn signal box The clutch pedal and brake pedal are from an unknown year ford truck. The original truck had air brakes, so the pedals had to be changed. The original engine was a 317 lincoln, which my cousin rebuilt and might possibly have if anyone is interested. The heater core was replaced with a brand new unit because we thought it was leaking, but it was leaking from somewhere else and we fixed that. The windshield wiper motor is from a 56 ford truck and is single speed. The heater blows to the floor, or windshield only in those years The fresh air vent lever was taken off to make room for radio and the lever is gone. The vent is shut, but if you can find a lever you could hook it back up and move the radio. The choke line is new going to a 2 bbl carb Engine is electronic ignition, no points We have 2 keys and they are same key for doors, and ignition The truck was originally owned by an electrician company in Wyoming, then a guy in Kansas bought it. My father purchased it from a man in Byers Colorado who got it at an aucton in 1996. The cab had absolutely no rust cancer anywhere which is rare. The only body work that it needed was the battery access door in the cab floor. It was closed off since you cant get a modern 12 volt batt in there. The old 6 volt batts were much smaller. The working gauges on the dash include speedo, odo, charging and fuel. The others don't work Speedo only works from 15mph and up and is off by about 2mph The clutch is 13" The rear end was a dually and rebuilt in 1996 and never ran until 2012 The pinion seal has a very slight drip, but not worth worrying about. Exhaust in true dual with aluminized pipe and cherry bomb glass packs. There are a few paint chips from where the hood rubs on the fenders, and a couple on the windshield frame from hitting tree branches. The windshield has a few chips, but can be replaced with LMC If you didn't know, The cab shares most same parts as a 55 pickup truck, so parts are available for most things. If this were my truck I would: Run wire loom over the wires to dress it up. Put exhaust stacks behind the cab Change the wheels On Sep-26-14 at 13:56:34 PDT, seller added the following information: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0AUOOO47dA9ZUVlQWJaOE11Tnc&usp=sharing
