"Trudie", our 1988 Land Cruiser is a historic gem and coveted model of Land Cruisers. The unique wood grain exterior graphics add to the rugged appeal of classic SUVs. Me and friend, a fellow "Cruiser Guy", acquired Trudie as a project vehicle around 4 years ago. and have since put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and money into her. I hesitate to call her a "project car" because of all the restoration that has already been done, but we are selling her for the price of one. We would consider Trudie around 70% to full restoration. ULC performed a very thorough evaluation, which inspected every aspect of the vehicle and diagnosed any and all issues. We will gladly share the complete eval from ULC upon request. Trudie provided us with a lot of enjoyment, but houses, students loans and babies got in the way of our goal to restore her to her former glory. We'd love to find a buyer who wants her to keep cruising, so we're setting the auction price at just $3,000. For another thousand or two, you can have a classic, daily-driver SUV that will keep cruising for many years to come. Trudie's biggest issue is that the transmission will not currently shift and likely needs to be rebuilt. However, most of her other issues are minor and could be fixed quickly and easily. Her engine was rebuilt 75,000 miles ago and runs perfectly. Does not have radio or CD player. AC is functioning but does not blow cold air. Some cosmetic issues on the outside but no visible signs of rust. Exterior has some small dents but overall good condition for a 25 year old vehicle. There are a few cracks in the dashboard. The mileage is a little over 200,000, which is also good for a vehicle of her age.
