Vehicle Detail

1955 chevy rolling chassis 4 to 2 door conversion that has a clean title that was issued after appropriate inspections and paperwork completed to reflect the modification, it is titled as a 2 dr...........built from parts from previous builds, has new inner and outer rockers. solid project car that I have replaced over 40 square ft.of metal. all structural areas were shored up with new metal. I also fabbed a shock cross member between framerails and built the tilt frontend. This is my second conversion and it's well on its way to being a presentable piece. Doors close good, windows go up and down as they should and the bodywork is 70-75% complete, panel reveals are good..I have well over 250 hrs fab time in this car. Good base with enough work to be done to call it your own. solid frame with disc brake front. Rearend is Olds/Pontiac style . V8 stick car I have the side and rear glass and templates for rear quarter windows, the will have to be cut, I do not anticipate any issues as the cuts will be straight. Additional parts included with the sale of this car. but what you see is pretty much what you get This car is a good candidate for a Two Lane Blacktop replica. My next move would be to radius the rear wheelwells if the car does not sell. *** only trade considered would be a Toyota Tundra*** My feedback is solid and I have done my best to present this car honestly....Personal inspections are encouraged and as always ask questions if clarity is needed on an issue.... A 200.00 non refundable payment is due at close of auction and the balance to be paid in cash only unless other terms are agreed upon. very low reserve cat not included I reserve the right to cancel auction as the car is for sale locally bidders with less than 50 bids and any negative feedback needs to contact me prior bidding On Sep-21-14 at 14:36:36 PDT, seller added the following information: my perspective is one of this, it's a cut up 55 (frankensteinish) I added photos so potential buyers can see exactly how this car was transformed. My welding is nothing to brag about but I'm pretty good at getting metal to stick together. This is my 6th 55 and I never could bring myself to cutting the quarters on an original two door post with a radius to stuff a 10" wide wheel up under TLB style. So this conversion was started. The car was rough and a lot of hours were dedicated to get it to this point. this project would be best suited to someone with the ability(mechanical/body) to finish the car themselves IMHO...it will never be a high end restoration but is well on its way to be a bitchin' TLB replica with a handful of talent and patience; and although I have lot of time in the basic 4 to 2 door conversion and subsequent metal patching that followed a lot more is needed, please consider prior to bidding Details: Front tilt has fiberglass fenders bolted to a steel hood, the basic set-up is sound and the tilt mechanism works well, however it will need stops fabbed, will also need lower pin mounts and fine tuning. basic fitting is not bad....I have seen a lot rougher as fiberglass components never seem to fit the way they should. I've added my opinion to protect potential bidders from disappointment and want the winning bidder to know exactly what they are getting. Being able to convert a 4 dr. sedan to a 2 dr. sedan is a awesome feat to do especially looking as good as your conversion is looking so far.. Good luck and keep up the fantastic work. Steve H.
