You are bidding on a 1970 Datsun 2000 Roadster. I purchased this car several years ago with great plans to restore it but have decided to let it go as I have too many projects ahead of it. I bought the car as you see it with the motor and trans removed. The rest of the car is intact. The gentleman I bought it from had pulled the motor because it had a blown head gasket. He was going to rebuild it and reinstall the motor and trans. I believe this is a 1600 cc motor and not the original 2000cc motor that came with the car. A friend of mine is a Datsun expert and has told me this. The car is basically rust free and a good candidate for restoration. If you have been looking for a fun winter project then look no further. Note: I have added additional pictures showing the motor , 5 speed transmission, drive shaft, and all the necessary parts to put this car back together. The body has some isolated rust bubbles on the rear trunk lid and on the front lower fenders. None of it appears to be structural. The floor pans and trunk are very solid. This is a very restorable car. Not a rust bucket. I am also showing the vin plate identifying that this is a 2000 roadster even though the motor that came with the car when I purchased it is a 1600 with twin carbs. I have included a picture of the motor number as well for verification.
