For sale is a stunning and super clean, one owner Shelby GT500 with a 150-plus HP upgrade package. I am the original owner of this car and, in fact, ordered it from the factory. This is a rare optioned car with no top stripes and upgraded GT-550 rocker panel stripes. All regular maintenance and service completed at the Ford dealership by a factory certified Shelby technician. There is nothing this car needs except a great home. New tires and front brakes. Always garaged and has never seen snow, ice or any other form of bad weather. Never been beat, raced, or abused in any way and has never been smoked in or around. The story on the HP upgrades: The bottom line on the HP is I was not pleased with the factory 500 HP. Even though I have never raced or beat it, I expected it to kick a bit more butt than it did from the factory. I began by having the 45 plus HP factory upgrade kit installed on it after I had been driving it on the road for a while (80% of the miles are road miles). This 45 plus HP factory upgrade kit consisted of beefier exhaust, a high-capacity air filter and a new performance chip. That is where the 550 HP came from. The factory stripes kept falling off. So, Ford agreed to make me a set of heave duty stripes that were also reflective. I ask for the 550 to replace the 500 on the rocker stripes. The 45 plus HP upgrade helped some, but I still was not satisfied with the mid-range acceleration. To solve this issue, I had a new performance serpentine belt supercharger pulley system installed and a professional performance chip installed this last fall. Now the mid-range acceleration drag problem has been solved and the car now kicks butt. The programmer for the professional performance chip will go with the car.
