For sale I have a 1973 Porsche 911. First of all, this car is not for the purist Porsche enthusiast. It started its life as a Porsche 911 Targa. When I purchased the vehicle the previous owner had installed the slant nose wide body kit and had also chopped the rear portion of the Targa top turning the car into a permanent Convertible. The car was painted velocity yellow. However, the convertible top just did not fit right at all so I went a step further. I had an upholstery shop professionally remove the existing convertible top and install a custom made canvas boot so the car is now a permanent Roadster. It does have custom leather upholstery and a professional stereo installation. The cars is rust and accident free and it runs and drives but needs to have the generator replaced as it is draining both batteries(current mechanical diagnosis) but I do not want to spend any additional money on it. It is a matching numbers/original engine car(Engine#*6131038). I will provide the buyer with receipts for over $5,000 of recent maintenance and repairs(in addition to the custom upholstery) to include carburetors rebuild, master cylinder, brake calipers, suspension work, miscellaneous electrical items, hoses, oil change and so on; which have all been done within the last two years. I've also installed cross-drilled vented rotors all the way around. The wheels were also custom painted to match the exterior but tires currently on the car are too small and do not look right due to the fact that the car does have a wide body kit now. ALL of the tires need to be replaced due to age and I would not advise driving it long distance unless you replace them. It is the same of tires that were on when I purchased the car so I have no idea how old they really are. I guess this would be the first item on the list for the potential buyer. The carpet needs to be re-glued down and the engine lid hinges need to be adjusted as it now rubs against the bottom portion of the canvas as you open it. The dash pad was also redone and the Nardi steering wheel feels awesome. The paint does have a few small scratches but overall it is in fairly nice condition. So in a nut shell you have a one-of a-kind Custom Porsche 911 needing only a few small things such as tires to turn it into an awesome show car. The car has a clear title in my name. A lot of money has been invested in this car. If you are not aware of the value of a classic Porsche like this one check NADA or Kelly Blue book before you bid. I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT THIS IS A REAL PORSCHE 911, NOT A KIT CAR. I would highly encourage using an enclosed container for transport to avoid getting caught in some bad weather an ruining all of the beautiful work that has been done to the car.
