With only 7,000 miles, this is as close to a factory new 2004 K1200GT as you will find. The bike has been garaged, covered, pampered and driven by a responsible "senior". Originally, I had planned to ship the bike to Quito, Ecuador and ride it for two months to Patagonia, however, I got married instead. In anticipation of the South American trip, I upgraded the bike with CNC machined stainless steel bar backs (easily removed if desired) and a stainless steel brake line. I've also installed new Continental, ContiAttack tires (front and rear) and a new (2014) Yuasa high performance battery. Other OEM features include matching hard cover side touring bags, anti-lock Integral ABS braking system, electronic wind screen, control heated seat and grips and cruise control. Late summer and fall are the best time for touring and the heated seats and grips make riding comfortable into November through most of the country. I believe the very low milage and extreme care differentiate this bike from any others currently available and the 2004 K1200GT is considered one of the best sport touring bikes made.
