City of Williamstown, KY Surplus vehicle This vehicle was used within our FD since 2002 when we purchased it used, truck was involved in a grass fire incident earlier this year where the wiring harness was damaged when fire blew under the truck while it was stuck. Truck was removed from service and is being offered "AS IS" -- still runs and is drivable but has issues with brake line and wiring harness damage. Front ball joint covers are melted and fan shroud is damaged. Unknown issues may arise at later date. Truck has low miles for its age and was used as a brush truck and first responder vehicle-- unit had a flat bed on it which was removed and not for sale. Transmission rebuilt last year and tires aren't very good at the present. Engine is sound with no known issues there. A/C worked when taken out of service and 4X4 operates fine. Lots of pulling power here as it was set up for a gooseneck hitch and we pulled numerous trailers in the use around the firehouse. We can get $3,000 at the junk yard as a high value salvage as mechanical components are solid.
