Vehicle Detail

This is an awesome car that will make you feel as good as I do when you cruise it and everyone stops to talk to you about it paying you compliments everywhere you go. I love driving this car! New cars depreciate, this car is appreciating. I got the car for sale but was originally looking to trade this beautiful hard to find California emissions 2nd Owner, and 1st Generation 1974 Dodge Challenger that I got from the original owner’s garage but could not find anyone with had multiple muscle car or hotrod projects for it so now I am selling it. It has a clean California Title in my name, and is currently registered, insured, and driven to local car cruises or shows. It feels really good to drive and turns heads and thumbs up everywhere you go like a celebrity. Everything works in great in the car like interior lights, map light, even the trunk light. The interior was restored using great detail and currently the only cons would be the lock for the center console door is broke, the windshield wipers work great but not receding all the way under the hood, and the small plastic panel under the radio dash area is missing. Outside the car is in excellent condition with a very custom glassy shine over a very straight body which was the result of hours of block sanding in preparing for paint. The trunk, under trunk lid, engine bay, under hood, and door jambs are immaculate and fully painted HOK Burble like the rest of the car. Recently I have noticed a small bubble the size of a nickel on the right rear pillar post, I am missing the hood letters spelling DODGE, and the rear tail light panel was never painted, and I haven't ordered clips for the front windshield molding I have; are about the only cons to the exterior. Underneath the car is amazingly free of corrosion at all the body panels even Southwest cars get from the 60s/70s but this car does not. I have included a You Tube video of the undercarriage so you can see what I'm so impressed with. I did not undercoat the car because I wanted it to be visible to the buyer unmolested to recognize the true condition and potential of this car. The engine was rebuilt by the original owners recently and the transmission was serviced and front and rear seals were replaced when removed with engine for detailing when car was painted. This is an original AC car from the factory and has the condenser, dryer, evaporator but it is missing the compressor. You can proudly drive to any car event, open your trunk, lift your hood, roll your windows down, sit back and be proud as others admire your daily driver muscle car. I originally purchased this Challenger running from a couple who had purchased it new from Kearny Mesa Dodge here in San Diego in 1974. It is a factory Power Brake front disc brake, Power Steering, and Air Conditioning, Bucket Seat/Console car. They drove it for 15years and then parked it in the garage and raised a family. The car was an unmolested barn find that I even had the original build sheet pictured still in the back seat springs. And what is most amazing about this car is it had absolutely no corrosion under the car (please see videos) which is unheard of for these cars. This Southwest car is probably the cleanest all original steel and still factory assembled Challenger out there and will last a lifetime. Before sale the original owners had the engine rebuilt with performance in mind upgraded with the following parts: Hooker Headers, ceramic coated. High Energy Ignition distributor system Performance cam and lifters Edelbrock Performer Intake Edelbrock Performer Carburetor This motor starts up great, and is not some gutless 2 barrel 318. The HEI distributor, Edelbrock Performer upgrades, and Hooker/Magnaflow exhaust adds the horsepower this Challenger deserves. Daily driver or street fighter this car is ready. Since I purchased it about 4 years ago I have completed the following upgrades: Complete high quality $8K paint job with House of Kolors paint of all surfaces including inside engine bay and trunk. Paint is a 9.5 of 10 Custom hand pin striping by Rob Miller under 1 gallon of clear, color sand, and buff to glass finish. Complete weather stripping and window seal installation New Front/Rear glass and custom window tinting of all windows New Chrome Boss 5 Spoke 18” wheels New Magna flow big tube exhaust All new front suspension rebuild by True Line Alignment hot rod specialists Alpine CD player with 6” and 6”x9” speakers in door pods and rear deck. New headliner, sun visors, front/rear reproduction seat upholstery, molded cut pile carpet, and custom covered dash pad. Powder coated metal interior trim satin black. Complete Dynamat of interior floor and doors makes the car quiet and rattle free. Triple Chrome Plated original front and rear bumpers New reproduction trunk mat and floor mats All dash lights converted to LED bulbs Hard to find Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner with Custom Printed 318 4 barrel Decal with OEM styling. Monroe Air Shocks in rear, standard Monroe shocks in front. I need to get rid of some of my finished projects now. Of all the finished cars I am selling this, Challenger is the most difficult for me to give up because the car is so solid its probably the best car I’ve bought, built, or sold with regards to feeling like a new car. Although I only drive it on weekends it starts everytime, runs great, gets lots and lots of attention, and rides like a new car. I’m going to miss this one and hope it never sees the snow or rain. I also have all the pictures since I acquired the car. Good luck and enjoy. HERE IS A You TUBE VIDEOS OF THE CHALLENGER: http://youtu.be/xfyMJVTt9mU Here is another video of the underbody so you can see its all original and rust free sheet metal. http://youtu.be/AviUa0_6MFU You are more than welcome to come inspect the car personally or take it to your mechanic for inspection. We can also FaceTime or any other online video conference you like to give you a better idea of how great the car is. I can also facilitate shipping as well but I recommend this be shipped in an enclosed trailer because it is too nice of a car to damage. I was originally looking to trade for 2 or 3 unfinished Chevelle, Camaro, Firebird, Charger, Road Runner, Project CARS not junk or a finished 1930s 3 or 5 window coupe. I was also considering late model Camaro for daughter or late model luxury for mother but I guess nobody has a bunch of cars to trade like me.
