2000 Mustang Convertible White with Tan V6 3.8L GT Package Runs Great! This is a “Pure White” (factory color name) 2000 Mustang Convertible with tan leather interior and convertible top. The vehicle has 140,818 original miles on the V6 3.8L engine with a standard “stick shift” 5-speed transmission or roughly 10,058 miler per year, an under average mileage vehicle. This car is unique with a complete GT effects package. This car has the hood scoop, rear spoiler, ground effects and rims with low profile tires found on the Mustang GT models, but, this one comes with an economical V6 engine. The stick shift transmission complements the V6 power and will give you a true feeling of a sports car. This car is zippy and fun to drive with the top down, especially around the corners or bends in the road being a rear wheel drive car. This car is in great condition for a 14 year old vehicle and 140,818 miles. The car has a power drivers seat, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, power convertible top, power steering, power brakes, CD and Tape Player, factory Mach 460 sound system, dual front airbags, real rear glass window, an incredibly cold AC, heater and sporty factory exhaust.Minor defects: On the front bumper there are small areas of white paint missing at the license plate and a few light scratches from bugs and small rocks Small chips of paint missing on hood scoop, front point edges. The front area where the convertible top meets the front windshield has been touched up with white paint. There are two small dents in this area. There is one door ding on the driver’s side just under the rear-view side mirror. There is a dent in the black trim on the driver’s door. This is the outer trim at the window, where your arm/elbow would rest if the windows are down. Small area the size of a nickel is missing paint on the plastic/vinyl bumper just behind the driver’s rear wheel, a rock chip from the road. The back has only light scratches on the top area, it appears from putting items/groceries into the trunk. Rear spoiler has a yellow drop of paint about the size of an un-popped popcorn kernel. The passenger side has a small dent on the fender just above the front tire. The passenger door has one small ding behind handle, one small one in middle of door and one small ding missing paint at the bottom about the size of a nickel. The seats show signs of normal use. The driver’s is in the worst condition as it endures the most wear. All of the other seats are in good condition. The convertible top will need to be replaced. The current one does not leak but should be replaced as soon as possible. The interior headliner is in a good, re-useable condition (dark brown in color). Brand New Tops (material only, no window) can be found here on eBay starting at $135.99 with free shipping. Brand New Complete Tops (comes with plastic or glass rear window) can be purchased here on eBay and range from $169.99 with a plastic window and free shipping, up to $350+ with real glass, rear defroster and pre-tinted with free shipping. The cost of the new top depends on the level of top you want. There are many color variations to choose from and options on the rear glass. This car does have a defrost switch and is wired from factory for a rear defrosted glass option. The current back window does not have the defrost bars/veins in the glass itself. While shopping for a top, this may be useful to makes a decision on the level of the new top cost. Tires were replaced a year ago and still have plenty of tread. The car drives straight and with ease, great power steering and power brakes. The car is ready to drive home. Everything works! This will make a nice first car for a younger individual (back-to-school), a perfect car for someone who wants to take nice Sunday drives with the top down or for anyone who appreciates a good looking sports car and always wanted one. This car is a winner, it is inexpensive, was well taken care of and maintained regularly, the previous owner stated – “only synthetic oil changes (top of the line)”. Starts right up, engine sounds nice and tight and should perform for many more years and or mileage.The previous owner traded the car due to recent knee surgery; he could no longer work the clutch without hurting.
