up for sale is my 1979 f150 short bed, if you are concerned with gas mileage or emissions this is not for you, if you want an awesome fun strong truck that you can drive around town but not be afraid to take fishing hunting or scare some ricers, read on. this is a great running rust free southern truck. it has a 4" lift and 35" tires. engine is a 400 cu was stock rebuilt a few years back but being a toy it doesnt get a lot of miles it has an edelbrock aluminum intake topped by an edelbrock carb it burns both tires at will (it could use a cleaning and may be rechrome the valve covers). it runs very good have taken it up to 80 mph no problem. the truck stops as it should even with the 35s, and the suspension and steering are really tight. exterior is great looking but is not a show truck it has a few small scratches and a small quarter size rust spot on the hood, all original chrome is there it shines really nice. interior has an after market radio a tachometer and grant wood steering wheel on a tilting steering column, it has wood grain panels and bezel all gauges and lights work as they should. seat was reupholstered but may not be your taste door panels have a crack on them but are functional could use new retainer clips. under body is very clean it was undercoated at some point you can eat off it I have never seen a cleaner frame on a truck this age I bought this truck down in florida so it has never seen salt or winter, since I got it has been garage kept and never driven on winter Ford had it figured out with this body style in my opinion the best ever built. this trucks are getting hard to find specially short beds and almost impossible to find in this condition most of the ones out there need extensive rust repair this truck is solid. I would love to keep it but have too many toys. currently working on a 2wd f100 with a 428 super cobra jet (its eating all my money) back to the truck, it will turn heads anywhere you go and inspire fear when you step on it this thing is intimidating. bid with confidence you will not be disappointed . my rating talks for itself. keep in mind your are not bidding on a show truck by any means the truck does have a few flaws and vehicles always look better in pictures.
