I'm hoping to sell this now that I've inherited another vehicle. I'd love to keep it just to work on, but with the new vehicle and the fact that I broke my wrist and am having a very difficult recovery, I can't work on it anyway. It's been garaged through most of it's life - first owner had it until 2004, and both he and the second owner used it sparingly. This past winter my youngest son started driving, so he bumped me into this Datsun which I drove daily. Prior to that, it sat in my garage as I slowly replaced the head gasket in my spare time. Don't let the blown head gasket scare you - I've never seen any evidence that the engine ever ran too hot. The leak was small into cylinder 4.It runs fine now, but as I wrote above it needs a Weber carb replacement. There's a missing fuel electronic cut-off on the current carb. Here'a what I've done since 2008: New u-jointsReplaced blown head gasket Here's what I know needs to be done: Replace fuel tank filler hoseWeber carb replacementExhaust system repair (not manifold!)Change - I forgot to list the windshield. It has a long crack running from the bottom edge passenger side and arcing completely to center of the windshield passenger side. Not something I would ever bother with.....but I suppose it needs to be replaced. I'm not really into the cosmetics of vehicles....
