For Sale: $6,000 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 4x4;4 Door Ext Cab;4.0 L; Auto Trans. Excellent Condition and has been garaged. Clear title and there is (As is no warranty). Purchased used in 2009 with 75,000 miles (at that time a car fax showed minor front end collision that was repaired, there are no other collisions) It now has only 139,000 miles. Very clean interior with 85/90% exterior. All of the controls function properly for lights, cruise control, AC/heater/defroster, 6 disc CD stereo, electric door locks, electric mirrors, electric windows, 2 keys and 2 remote locks, and it has the towing package. The Ranger gets 16-18 mpg. It has a box liner, box roll tarp, grill guard, and driving lights. This is a very clean and well taken care of 2001 Ranger Edge 4x4. With a remanufactured engine and the upkeep done on it, $6,000 is a reasonable price. Maintenance: 2011 installed a Ford remanufactured 4.0Liter engine ($4300) at 94,000 miles. The remanufactured engine has 45,000 miles with no leaks, and rarely uses oil (maybe add a ½ pint of oil between some oil changes). Always used Castrol 5w30 Oil and Motorcraft MIFL820S oil filter changed every 3,000 miles. Engine starts/ runs very smooth and it has no current problems. Front brake pads installed at 97,000 miles. 2012 Automatic transmission fluid flushed/ changed to synthetic at 124,000 miles. Passenger side A- frame & lower ball joint, sway bar links replaced, and 4x4 alignment. Treadwright recap tires put on at 126,000 miles and rotated every 6,000 miles & rear brakes set up at each rotation. It has no steering problems and handles great. February 2014, at 132,000 miles TMA replaced the muffler/tailpipe. I installed Bosch 4 sparkplugs, new idle air control sensor, new throttle position sensor, cleaned the throttle body, installed a new starter, and installed a new alternator. They were not failed components, I just replaced them. There is a front differential pinion seal, service manual, and gear lube included. There is one minor leak at the front differential pinion seal that is starting to seep gear lube, but it only is getting wet and has not leaked enough to be a major concern. There are no mechanical issues. Don’t’ let it get away! No returns. Buyer responsible for picking up the vehicle, there is no shipping.
