1948 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton truck. This truck will be great as a shop truck or for a first time buyer in the old truck world. Its a mix of a few parts trucks. Frame is a 1953. Solid frame. Has new brake lines, master cylinder. Rear end is lowered with three inch blocks. Front end is lowered by the strait axle moved on top of the springs. Frame has been cleaned and sprayed black with POR 15. The 53 frame has shock mounts, but I did not install shocks as of this listing. Engine is a running 235 inline 6 cylinder. Has new plugs, wires, points, condensor, coil. Exhaust is run to the back of the cab with a new muffler. The engine runs but is not fully wired. It will run for the purpose of viewing, but needs to be wired along with the rest of the truck. The top section of the shifter needs to be replaced. The body is in decent shape. I took it in as a partial trade on another sale. The repairs that were made were not professional. I made it solid and squared it up as best as possible. The doors open and close fine, but the gaps are off. There has been rust repair work done to it in the past. I took it from there and made it look decent. This is not a show truck. There are some flaws in the paint as well as in the body work. It looks good, but is by no means, a show vehicle. The bed and rear fenders are from a 54 with a 2x8 wood bed floor and a tailgate that I made. The floor is solid with the seat frame cut out. Included but not pictured is a bench seat that I will install. It will need to be recovered. No glass is included. I have a few more parts to add, and I will update the pics on Wednesday. You can make this truck driveable and roadworthy with a relatively small amount of money. I will include a parts list with prices to the buyer from various suppliers. This is a big boy toy, so check with your wife, your mom, your dog, or whoever you need to before you bid. Dont bid more than you can afford to spend.
