Vehicle Detail
Hello and welcome to my auction. First off I would like to let you know why I am selling the car. Divorce don't need to say anymore. I am trying to keep my head above water and this is the last toy I have left to help me do just that. As much as I have looked for this car and finally get one I have to let it go. Have had it for over 10 yrs, but you really cant live in your car for to long especially with kids. I have owned AMC'S since I was 18 yrs old I am now 52. I sold one in 1992 a regular 74 Javelin plain with a 4 speed 401 it went to who I thought would take care of it, instead he wrecked it and did not even care. I would like this to go to a good home were someone can appreciate the low production and options and beauty of a fantastic looking car. This white 1972 AMC Javelin AMX is an Automatic with slap stick, Alot of options not many that were not ordered on the car Loaded Options included are GO PAC with 401, posi, heavy duty radiator, heavy duty suspension functional hood with air intake (Bored 60 over Hyper cam and roller rockers less than 1500 miles on it) it was built by a AMC machine shop I dont know partiulars but gave him 5300.00 and said build it. He builds and races AMC cars and this sucker runs like a SOB. Also Corduroy seats, door pockets, A/C which is currently not in car due to hose needs to be replaced for safety reasons, custom exhaust with flowmaster mufflers, original floor mats, rear window defroster, headlight delay, light group, AM radio and more. As far as I know I am the third owner the dealership owner owned the car in Indiana, then was sold, driven in California brought back to Indiana were it sat for 16 years, this was a barn find car. I stripped this car down to almost nothing but at the time could not afford to repaint it. Has been repainted 1 time prior I was not told why so I don't know. I replaced Headliner as it had mice living there. Dash was completely removed and parts that needed replacement were replaced. (Kennedy and American parts Depot) Seats were cleaned New carpet, new heat shield under carpet, and dash redone. All tabs on grille were repaired and remade and painted, all new shocks, brakes (front) calipers. tires, rear leaf springs, tranny lines plus more to get it safe and road worthy. If you buy this car YOU CAN drive it home. Also installed updated oil pressure and water temp gauges. Oil pressure runs from 45 to 60 all the time. No fan shroud because all aftermarket ones don't work well have had 2. Clock does not work is that a surprise? There are issues with the paint and some rust but I still take it to shows and even with that I get many looks and compliments. If you were to paint the car and replace the seat material you would have a great car and a show car too. I like cars that are driven and are show cars not trailered but just my opinion. I consider it a 10 to 15 footer car guys you will know what I mean. I would love top keep it and put money into it for paint and seats but unfortunately I dont have much left thats why she has to go : ( Hoping someday I can find one again but right now this is my current concern. If you have any questions please ask and I will answer best as I can. I have sold 4 cars on Ebay and everyone has been happy with their purchase. I try to be honest and upfront as posible basiclly I give a S%!T I am not on here to rip people off. I might be a little overpriced I'll be the first to admit but I need as much as I can out of the car. Also extera parts come with the car NOS parts Blinker covers front, another set of 72 tail lights minus the back up lights These are NOT NOS If I can I can send a email or try to put up a video if I can figure it out.
