1978 Triumph Bonneville T140V with 7436 miles, super clean, well maintained and ready to ride the day you receive it. It starts on the first or second kick, shifts smoothly and the engine pulls strongly with no shakes, shimmies or rattles. The engine number matches the frame. All major components are in excellent shape. The brakes are strong with plenty of pad left on both the front and rear. The carburetors are clean both internally and externally with proper balance and the correct air/fuel mixture. The plugs are new showing the correct brown/tan color on the tip. The contact breakers are in good shape. The tires are Dunlop Roadmaster TT100s and are the correct size, 3.60 H19 on the front and 4.10 H19 on the rear with good tread depth. The wheels are the original Made in England Dunlops and are in very good condition. The seat is original and in great shape with no tears. The exhaust system is in excellent condition with no bluing, only a golden color up front, and the mufflers are gorgeous with gleaming chrome. The aluminum and chrome parts are in good condition with polished engine cases. The paint and pin striping on the gas tank are original with no scratches. The front forks and rear shocks are very compliant with good travel giving this bike a firm but plush ride. The overall condition of this motorcycle is very good considering its age and, believe it or not, it doesn't leak oil on the garage floor. The reserve is set low to encourage bidding. Seller will cooperate with any shipping company should the buyer require transportation to their location.
