The vehicle will move however it is not recommended that it be driven any long length of distance. The cost of a transfer case can vary depending on if it is used or rebuilt. I have found them as low as $100 and up to $1800. The average cost to have the transfer case installed is any where from $500.00 to $ 1200.00.
