1968 Honda CB

The Holy Grail again born from the Honda racing development! Honda 125cc twin cylinder, twin carb. with electric start. I am not certain of the year of production because the only numbers on the bike are a Georgia assigned VIN. The bike is titled as a 1968 but I would guess 1964 based on research. The CB93 as described was not made for the U.S. market and it appears that very few were made with electric start for any market. The CB93 is in amazing unrestored condition and very few changes have been made to the bike. The original air filters were replaced with KNs but the originals are included with the bike. I believe that the mufflers might be replacements but I am not certain. The CB93 has been used over the years but does not appear to have been abused. Once again it appears original down to the mud flap on the rear fender. The electric start works as does the kick start, the lights and turn signals also function as they should. I rode the bike 6 or 7 miles yesterday and it runs well. Clear Tennessee Title in hand. The actual mileage is unknown at this time. I purchased replacements but they did not fit properly. This is a 125cc and not a 160cc it is marked behind the cylinders as 124cc. Thanks to a sharp ebayer for pointing the badges out. It was also suggested that this bike is most likley a 1968 due to the chrome front fender which would be correct for 1968.On Aug-17-14 at 14:24:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I located this description of the CB93 Electric start model online and thought it might be helpful. The picture showed a 1967 model that appeared identical to the listed CB93. .Less than 2500 of which less than 50 are know to still exist, and only one outside Japan (with electric start) and 6 in Europe (without electric start). Engine: 125cc, SOHC twin. Power: 15bhp @ 11,000 rpm. Weight: 109kg. Non standard items: Stainless steel fasteners,spindles,spokes etc & later 5-speed gearbox. Value: In this condition Approx �7000-�8000. They rarely come for sale, and when they do even as a basket case they demand around �1500-�2500 and then you have to ship them from Japan! The electric start were Japan market only. Non electric start models were exported to France (but only a few are left).
