Up for auction is a very very nice 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. This vehicle is a rare one owner all original 50,000 mile example.It has all its original numbers matching components and all original paint. This car is in outstanding condition. The color is code 75 Mayan Red with a beautiful all original black interior. The body on this car is really nice all the lines and gaps are perfect because the panels have never been removed. There is no rust or any filler the all original paint is very nice and looks like new with a great shine and patina. This car has never had any body work or collision damage. All the decals are original and are in great condition and have never been replaced. This car runs and drives very nice. Since its all original its very tight and performs as it did in 1979. When a car is restored they just don't drive like a factory original.This Trans Am has been garaged all its life and taken very good care of.There is the usual small nick, scratch or blemish that you will find on a 35 year old car but overall it is very nice.The undercarriage is also very nice with no issues or repairs. I would rate the condition of this fine automobile at a 9 out of 10. The interior components are all very nice there are no rips in the seats or cracks in the dash.It still has the original AM/FM 8 Track stereo that is untouched.The T Tops are very nice and don't leak like most you will find, there is also the original T Top covers the car came with. This car has tilt steering, air, cruise and is loaded with options.The original spare, jack and inflator bottle are still intact and have never been removed. At some point the original temp and volt gauge stopped working so a 3 gauge display was installed under the dash.Everything works other than those two gauges I think they could be repaired very easy. The battery is a newer diehard, and at some point an external fuel filter was added. Thats the only non original components on the car that would easy be removed if so desired.This would make a great car for someones collection it has won many trophies from various car shows and thats about all it was driven to in the last 15 years. You would be hard pressed to find one this original. I am not a car dealer but a collector thats looks for all original prime examples and this is one. I will be happy to answer any and all questions but please don't waste my time with low ball offers. I know that my price is very reasonable and is a very good value.
