I have owned my Mercedes 190sl for eighteen years. I am the second owner of this vehicle. The first owner was my neighbor. The car is so much fun to drive, however I barely take it out. I drive it approximately 100-200 miles a year. It mostly sits in my garage hooked up to a trickle charger. I have used the same auto shop (Pacific Motors in Santa Monica) to maintain the car. That said, there have been no major repairs to the vehicle - mostly just oil changes twice a year. I never had the hardtop but it does have the spare tire. Everything is original. It has original paint, original leather, original carpet, original dash etc. The original engine runs perfect and fantastic and (i know its hard to believe), but it has only 67k miles on it (my neighbor barely drove it as well). The paint is very good (not perfect) condition and the chrome is in excellent shape. All the gauges and knobs work as they are supposed too. It has the original Becker radio, but I disconnected it and put a CD player in the glove compartment about 17 years ago. The soft top goes up and down perfectly, however the fabric does have a slight tear about an inch long. All the lights, turn signals and horn work. The car shifts super smoothly and always starts with the push of a button. If I haven't driven it for a while (which is almost always), I will usually pull the choke to start it for the first time. I think the battery is approx 3 years old, but always hooked up to the trickle charger. The car shifts gears super smoothly. The brakes work well and the tires are in great condition. The car has always been in Los Angeles and mostly in my garage since I have owned it. When I do drive it, I normally go to and from my office and the parking is always indoor. The car barely sees the sun. That said, remember, paint and interior is original so there will be some very minimal blemishes if you can't see in the photos. I have somebody come to our house to polish the car every 3-4 months.
