1981 Checker Cab.... This car was never used as a real taxi. I has always been privately owned and garaged all it life. I work in the film and fashion industry in South Florida. This Checker has been in many, many productions and photo shoot. Never been abused or stunt driven. (I wont allow that, most stuntman are careless morons, who don't respect other peoples property) Anyhow the milage 70K is original and like I said the car has always been garaged except when its been out on shoots. Queen Latifa, Emilio & Gloria Estefan, Beyonce & Jay-Z, Bruce Webber, Jeff Conaway (Bobby from TAXI) and others, are amongst my V.I.P. list of clients that have used my services for their production need; As well as all the major studios. Recently it was used by Gov. Abecromby of Hawaii in his upcoming re-election champain commercial. Apparently he used to drive a cab in N.Y.C. many years ago. so it was used as a flashback sequence in the comercial. The car runs and drive like a dream no mechanical issues what so ever. The A/C blows Ice cold and you can drive it any where. She does have a couple of minor dings and scratches (its a working movie car so that is to be expeceted), otherwise the paint (Dupont Centari) is good and glossy. Not too long ago I drove it from Miami to Orlando to film a Russian Chewing gum Comercial at Universal Studios. It was a very hot day and the other "Pickture Vehicles" kept over heating...
