LAST CHANCE: After giving it some thought... This is the last time I will be listing this car on eBay. If it doesn't sell at the minimum price I am asking, I will simply make the car 100% (it wouldn't take very much at this point) and ask for more money at some later point in the future. Some additional notes: For those people who have been contacting me and asking me how little I will take? Please bid the minimum I have listed. My price is incredibly low given the amount of money put into this low mileage car. I am not naive as to the E30 market and the money a clean car commands. For those concerned about it being an automatic and not a 5 speed... My apologies, but that is the way it came out of the factory and I wanted a stock restoration. **There is a local shop that specializes in E30's and does manual gearbox conversions for $1200.00 parts and labor included. The parts and labor cost for the conversion are up to the buyer if they wish to have this car converted to a manual transmission.** The car is listed locally as well and I reserve the right to sell the car locally and cancel this auction if needed. If I receive a deposit from a buyer, I will cancel this auction. This is nice car overall. The final year of the E30 hardtops. I've spent $10,000 (in parts and labor) restoring it over the last 3 years. If there is a question about the money spent, ask your mechanic what they would charge for the work listed below. I originally bought the car in November of 2011 but did not register it in my name until last Fall. I get compliments on it wherever and whenever it's driven. This care was serviced by: BMWExcluserviceMain Street Auto RepairAuto Clinic of RockvilleZimmerman Automotive Expressions Autobody Wheaton Audio The paint and bodywork cost $3500 alone (the old paint had blemishes and I wanted the car to look new again). A BMW 4.10 M3 rear differential (with 80,000 miles on the unit) was installed 2 months ago. The hard and expensive stuff has been done! The engine and transmission do not leak or smoke. Finish the restoration while you drive it. There are interior finishes/fixes listed below that need to be completed. Why buy another E30 that still needs maintenance and faded paint when you could own this one for a bit more? This car has spent the majority of my ownership at either the bodyshop or the repair shop getting replacement parts installed. I barely drive the car on nice weather weekends but am now occupied with my new project. I've driven less than a few hundred miles since the car has been out of the shop. Included are two German Electric switchblade style keyless remotes, 1 original key, and the original owners manual and books from the Texas dealership the car was bought at. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. All power locks work. The sunroof opens and closes normally. The cruise control works fine, as does the heat (yes the fan blows in all positions), defroster, headlamps, turn signals, hazard lights, headlights, and horn. There is no rust on this car that I am aware of. I even had the car undercoated when I had the car painted. The bad The car needs a new muffler, AC needs to be recharged (I am including 2 bottles of R12 refrigerant)Antenna mast needs to be replaced, headliner on sunroof droops at leading edge. Two small imperfections in coat hook area on B-pillar trim (drivers side is pictured but passenger side is essentially identical) that should be unnoticeable when hooks are put back in place. Brake Pad sensors need to be installed (I may install them this weekend if I have time). Knee bolster needs to be installed ( minty replacement included but I have not purchased new OEM screws yet.Airbag light needs to be reset (car was turned on when airbag was out of car during painting and dash replacement) but I am including a a spare airbag computer and sensors. As of last week the odometer started to intermittently work. This a common problem on E30's and replacement odometer gears are available and the average home mechanic is capable of completing the fix. I have a video of odometer working after the pictures were taken in this ad.The upholstery on the rear bench seat-back needs to be finished. I started the process and may finish it but cannot promise completion prior to sale of car.If I missed listing any other flaw it was unintentional and will not negate sale. Please note that the car is sold "AS IS". Please keep in mind that this is a 23 year old classic, and as such will not be perfect. This car is sold without a warranty written or implied. If you have questions, please ask them. I will do my best to answer them honestly and completely. Please view my feedback. I have sold over 20 vehicles on eBay (including an E30 sedan). If you are an out of state buyer, please see eBay's shipping partners to obtain a quote. I spent a lot of time and money bringing this car back from where it started. This is an appreciating classic. Please note that I am not interested in low cash offers. I am not desperate to sell the car and have no interest in selling it for a bigger loss than what I have it listed for. If you would like to see a video of the car running (from stone cold and then from warmed up), please send me a message with your email address. I also have a short walk around video. I also have video of the odometer functioning during a highway ride.
