Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This auction is for an all Original Matching Numbers 1969 Pontiac GTO. The engine is a WT coded 400, the transmission is a Muncie M-20 4 speed and the rear is a 10 bolt 3.55 Ratio. I pulled this out of a garage where it has sat since 1984, last inspection sticker on it. As you can see from the pictures it will need a full restoration. The factory 4-speed radiator is still there along with the protecto plate and original carburetor. I have a clear title for the car. I did not try to start the engine, but it is free and I did verify that it turns. The car has the factory original motor still installed as I verified the Vin stamp in the block. This car has the very desirable hideaway headlight setup and factory gauge package dash with tachometer. The interior is very nice. As you can see in the pictures the interior would take very little to be nice. I checked the frame the best I could and could not find any ROT. Expect the floor might need some minor repair, but still seems solid. The trunk pan will need to be replaced. Included in the auction are quarter panel replacement pieces and brand new tailpipes. If you have been looking for a 1969 GTO to restore, look no further, you just found it. Why buy one that is incomplete and waste all the time looking for HARD TO FIND components when you can buy one that is all there. I purchased this car with all intentions of doing a full restoration. First chance off work, I pulled the motor and transmission and carried the transmission to have it completely rebuilt. A week later before going any further, I was diagnosed with cancer. I am not going to be able to this restoration because my priorities have changed. Parts for transmission had already been ordered so the 4 speed has been completely rebuilt. It and motor were set back in the car and hooked back up. I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. Any questions call me at 910-740-6122. Will deliver for fee up to 300 miles. On Jul-09-14 at 09:02:53 PDT, seller added the following information: After having a few questions I have added a few more photos. I have added pictures of the rear of the car and also the undercarriage. I have also uploaded a picture of the block stamp with vin number and also the trim tag. The car does have a good bit of rust could be easily restored.
