New paint, new interior, new tires and so much more to include a ton of “British” custom items that no other Triumph has. 1200cc engine, 4 speed over drive transmission out of a 70s triumph TR 4. Striped, epoxy primed the floors and under body then painted. Refurbished fuel tank, sprayed acid in body panels to neutralize rust, rebuilt leaf spring, painted drums, driveshaft, axels and frame. Spoke rims were sand blasted and powder coated. New 13” tires mounted after rims were completed. 2 full size spares come with the vehicle. 12volt conversion, weber carb, new steering joint and new water pump installed. There is a small standard oil drip from the transmission and differential. Runs great but could use a longer exhaust (exhaust cut for racing sound by previous owner). We were told the engine had a lower end rebuild about a hundred miles beforehand and a camber compensator was installed. You can see that we have customized the door panels and cover. We did not complete the drivers and passenger’s compartments and did not add the dash cover. We also have all new knobs for the dash but previous owner glued the old ones on there and we did not want to attempt changing them out. All lights and signals work and we have a new horn button on order and will be here before the end of the auction. Will supply that and several other new parts with the vehicle. Vehicle has no top. You can see from our feedback that we do classic VW’s for our hobby and this was something new we thought we would try. This car will take very little to have the perfect Spitfire. Previous owner was building this as a racecar and we brought the cosmetics back to classic so you have one heck of a car. This car is also available locally for sale and we reserve the right to end the auction early if purchased.
