Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1990 BMW 325i M-Technic Coupe. This car began life as an automatic transmission 325i. The car has never seen snow/salt all of its life and as a result of this the car is rust-free. I purchased this car in January of 2012 with the intention of building what is, in my opinion, the ultimate E30. After about 2 years of building the car it is finally nearing completion and unfortunately I am attending college out of state and just don't have time to finish and enjoy the car . Nearly every aspect of this car has been touched and either replaced or upgraded, the car is totally driveable, there are just a few things I feel still need to be dialed in and sorted out. The rear tires are flat spotted, the air condition has been removed from the car and the blower motor is non-functioning. The fuel gauge reads incorrectly but the low-fuel light does work. The parts alone invested in this car total over $30,000 dollars on top of the price of a chassis and not including the hundreds upon hundreds of hours that have been put into making this car what it is. The drive train is from a '95 M3 with 106K miles on it The prior owner had just the car serviced at the BMW dealership including having a new clutch installed, at a cost of over $2500. The engine runs great and breathes through a Castro Motorsport cold air intake and HIOP Headers (The original designer of the shorty headers now marketed as Turner Motorsports) through a custom exhaust (Headers->X-pipe->Dual Vibrant resonators->Stromung Muffler). The rear end in the car is a 3.15 Torsen Helical Torque-Biasing differential out of a Z3. The suspension and brakes are 5 lug from an E30 M3 (not an e36) and has been almost entirely rebuilt with new OEM front wheel bearings, new OEM Strut mounts, new Struts and Shocks (Bilstein sport front, Koni single adjustable rear), new sway bar end links (OEM front, Ground Control Rear), new OEM rear subframe bushings, and new OEM trailing arm bushings. The car is riding on 18x8" Style 5 replicas with 215/35/18 Continental DWS Tires. There is no rub anywhere with this wheel/tire package.
