Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1953 GMC truck on a 1982 Chevy S10 frame with a 350 engine and 350 transmission power steering and power brake 4whl disk.. I have driven this truck all last summer and a few time this summer with no issues. Drives down the road very nice. Below I will break down in detail all that has been done to the truck as best I can. Please read the entire listing as I want to make sure you know exactly what you are bidding on, and that my friend is a cool truck. Just ask and I can send more pics if there is something specific you are wanting to see. I encourage all to come take a look at the truck in person if possible. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions through email or phone. I also have a 1953 Chevy 5 window on a Camaro sub(very low to the ground) that I will be listing in a few months if interested. Thanks for looking , Rob 309-360-4896 Body Truck was found in a Idaho barn untouched for years. I disassembled, had the entire body bead blasted so all the rust was removed. Truck was not overly rusty but some patch panels were required. I then took out all major dents, but did not fix all as I was looking for a rustic look. Painted with Hot Rod Flatz Moss Green paint. Paint intentionally has a few runs, orange peel as once again my intention was to have rustic look. Bed is oak, but antiqued with a light green stain. Tail gate is not functional, but can be changed by removing two bolts. All the original chrome was badly pitted so I painted gloss black. All new glass-small crack in windshield on passenger side. Body panel all original gm with exception of running boards. Has bear claw door latches. Front bumper is a little bent, but works with trucks overall theme. All new rubbers and seals on doors and windows. Drivetrain SBC 350 , engine was completely rebuilt by myself. Reconditioned rods, reconditioned heads, new pistons/rings, all bearings/gaskets, mild Cam/lifter and timing set. Machine work done by Shots in Galesburg, IL. Intake is a aluminum GM with a Edelbrock 600 manual choke. HEI Distributor. All hoses/belts, water pump, fuel pump all new. Engine is basically a stock SBC with a mild cam and headers. Transmission, TH350 rebuilt by local shop. Has a shift kit, but not a head yanker. Real mild so it will bark the tires going into second gear. New Torque converter as well. All cooled with a new aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan. Drivetrain has about 530 miles on it currently. Chassis Frame is from a 1982 Chevy S10. Body mounted using AD Engineering kit. All steering and suspension components are new with exception of steering box and rear springs. Rear end in a 1991 S10 3.73 non posi with stock S10 springs. Brake system is from the S10 as well. Has four wheel disc brakes. Truck is currently only lowered an inch. I didn't drop a lot as I figured whoever bought could adjust to their taste. Wheels are 15" Crager 69's with bullet center caps and 70 series tires. Tires are about 60% Fuel tank is original S10 mounted under the bed. All new 18 circuit 12volt EZ wire harness used to power everything. Battery is less than a year old. Interior Painted with same Moss Green. Seats are out of a newer Dodge ram truck with built in seat belts. S10 center console. Gas pedal, brake pedal and non-tilt steering column out of S10. Dolphin gauges, sun tach. All function as expected. Radio is custom to truck, am/fm with aux input built in. Battery is mounted behind passenger seat and has a easy to reach switch to kill power. Carpet is basic automotive with foil insulation under to help with road noise. Door panel and headliner are stock with a black vinyl covering. Heater removed. Vents all work with no issues. Wipers have been upgraded to 12volt electric. Possible Needs. If I were to keep I would lower the truck just to give it a little better stance as well as add a posi unit to the rear end. It spins the wheels very easily. Could also use new exhaust system. Currently has headers with new cherry bomb turbo mufflers ran back to rear axle. I wanted to change to exit out the sides and have new custom exhaust bent. With buy it now I will have new exhaust system put on.On Jul-04-14 at 20:29:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a few people ask: The truck is a shortbed. It started out life as a heavy 3/4 ton, but I converted to a 1/2 ton shortbed.
