The Lady and her Car I am a broker and have been hired to sell this amazing car. The photos in this auction were taken with my digital camera. These photos were downloaded and installed in this auction as they were taken. There has been no touch up on the photos of any kind. Once in awhile, you come across a car that is just as exceptional as the story itself. Presenting for the first time for sale, since it rolled off the showroom floor, this 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1, with 7,777 original miles since new. Our story begins when a 70 year old widow decided it was time to buy herself a car, she decided on a red Ford Mustang Mach 1. She had done her research and found the car she wanted right on the showroom floor. She took it for a test drive and handed the local dealership cash for the car. She loved it and kept in the garage all the time. She even covered the car with a sheet in the garage to keep the dust off of it. It was serviced regularly at the dealership, and always hand cleaned. The car never saw rain, snow, dirt or gravel roads. Sunday afternoon drives, shopping, and visiting family and friends in her Mustang gave her a lot of joy and satisfaction. She was so protective, she would not let anyone else drive the car, she even insisted to stand near by and watch the car as it was serviced. Now turning 82, she reluctantly stated, "she shouldn't drive anymore" and decided it was time to pass her passion onto someone else who will take care of it and appreciate it as she has done. This car is absolutely stunning. No one could have kept this car in better shape. A complete Southern California Car, no dents, chips, scratches, rust, or accidents, not even any dirt. What makes this car so special If you know Ford history and even know the Mustang Mach 1 history, you know that you have found a very well proven classic with all the custom trappings that Ford kept in Mach 1 tradition. The 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was built by Ford producing 9, 652 examples of the car for 2003. Of that production, only 1,943 came with automatic transmissions. Ford produced only 2,513 models in "Torch Red", as our auction indicates today. Packed with the 4.6 liter SOHC EFI V-8 260 hp engine, you can hit 0 to 60mph in 5.2 seconds or even 0 to 100mph in 11.5 seconds. Remember our lady owner, was not afraid to use that power when she needed it. The five speed automatic transmission would shift and maneuver as she put it, "like a precision watch!"Interior included the dark grey leather seats, reminiscent of he 70's style "comfort weave" textures. The stainless steel pedals also another hint of the original Mach 1. Automobile magazine made mention, that it was too bad that the Chevy Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird were declining, but the Ford Mach 1 made such an incredible grand slam in 2003 they went ahead and produced a 2004 model of the famous Mach 1. The return of the "shaker" hood scoop is one of the most noticeable items for the Mach 1.The Mach 1 is lowered a half an inch and has firmer suspension, creating smoother handling.
