Vintage 1967 red Mustang coupe, 6 cyl. inline engine, project car. I do not sugarcoat anything, it is listed only for consideration by serious and knowledgeable bidders. It is a courtesy consignment offer for a friend. The engine and transmission worked 3 years ago, after topping off fluids the car had been driven for several miles and came back with no problems. But since then it has never left the garage or was even started. Please note that it is NON-WORKING, NON DRIVABLE PROJECT CAR FOR SALE STRICTLY AS-IS. It is not registered and needs to be transported on a flatbed truck. Certain parts are missing in the engine compartment e.g. air filter assembly (for the last and only recent trip the carburetor inlet was plugged up with a sponge) Battery is dead. Transmission fluid leaked out. Interior upper trims are stripped bare, no ceiling/upper panels (means they're not removed and put aside; they don't exist), seats, instrument cluster and glass are OK. Rust is present in many areas of the chassis and engine compartment; 3 out of 4 floor panels made of plain sheet metal, there are newer - looking torque boxes. But most of the outside body surfaces, roof, hood and trunk look pretty good . There is visible and serious body damage behind the driver's door; fender's sheet metal is torn open. There aren't any parts or components stored outside of the car. Auction covers nothing else butthe car itself and everything inside it. Car parked in the garage for some time, never outside. Overall, an interesting challenge for expert rebuilder BUT this car will demand its share of cash, sweat and curses in the process. Owner is a professional musician, he has abandoned this project after being overwhelmedby his artistic schedule and duties.
