I am selling my 2009 Smart Car which I purchased new from the dealership back in 2009. The car has 46k miles. The car has excellent MPG getting over 40 on highways and high 30s in the City. Great car for cities as I could always park almost anywhere. The Car does not start and needs some work in order to do so. I purchased the vehicle from the dealer new with 12 miles on the odometer. The car had been under warranty which expired recently. The car needs a new battery and some other work to get it to start the dealer quoted me a price of $1,200 dollars. The car had had some issues starting up and had died while I was filling it up with gas and had to have it towed. There is no one else in my area that I can find who knows how to work on the car and I am not interested in putting any more money into it. My wife has a vehicle and we live in Downtown Albany. In addition, we are expecting our first child in September and do not need both of us to have cars. The car has brand new tires which were over $100 each. Looked into trying to sell it locally, but people were offering me ridiculously low scrap values and figured I could do better here. There is over one thousand lbs of steel alone in the car which is worth more than what they were trying to offer me. Anyway it is feasible to get the Car started and running and it runs good. There is some cosmetic scratches and stains in the interior and wear on the drivers side floor board which could use a floor mat. The car is also great for parts and the engine, transmission etc works fine. The car is located at my mom's house near Saratoga Springs, NY. The car would need to be towed as it is not starting and needs a new battery. I have the complete service records for the car and clean title which I can furnish to you.
