Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my Baby! This is an exact copy -body style, color and equipment-of my very first car I acquired at age 17 (this one is far better condition!) At my current age (I'm a year older than the car!) I can no longer give it the TLC it needs nor do I have the stamina to take it to Auto shows and parades as I have in the past. This 35 was a frame-off restoration of a solid steel car and since acquiring it many years ago I have put my own touch on it to dress it up a bit. The engine is original and believe it was overhauled during restoration. I have had the water pumps rebuilt by Skip Haney of Florida to insure proper cooling, distributor converted to electronic(still 6 volt), Red's Headers with copper gaskets installed, new exhaust pipes with Smitty mufflers and 3" chrome exhaust tips. New plug wires were installed with wire looms chrome plated. The fuel pump was removed and replaced by an inline electric placed near the gas tank with the remaining oil filler chromed. The gas tank was replaced with a new steel tank, new copper fuel line installed along with new fuel sending unit. The gas gage in the dash was upgraded with the later model but I have yet to get it to register properly. A new temp gage was also installed. The battery was replaced with a new Optima sealed 6 volt which was turned sideways in the battery holder to allow greater clearance for the left side exhaust which prevents the battery from being overheated. During restoration hydraulic brakes were installed and work very nicely. When I acquired the Ford it did not have a radio so I purchased an original recondition one at a cost of $500. The head is installed in the dash but I have not installed the main box under the dash. I have the proper bolts to install and these and the Ford speaker will go with the car. Other items I installed are chrome strips along the running boards, fender skirts, Greyhound on the hood, white lens fog lights, new review mirrors on the doors, blue dot tail light lens, new locking gas cap and the starter was converted to a push button on the dash. Mileage listed is NOT accurate as speedometer has been replaced.
