This is a 1976 Mercedes 450 SL. I bought this car about a year ago. The gentleman who owned the car said the car was a good driver about a couple of years ago and the fuel pump went out. He had a new fuel pump in the trunk and I installed it. The car will start and idle good, but wouldn't accelerate/speed up. I have not gone any further into trying to fix it, but it was a good driver before this happened. The engine sounds good.I am not going to do any more to it or restore it. I bought two of these cars a 1975 450sl which is on my other auction and this one. This car should be easy to get back on the road.
