1988 Mercedes-Benz 560 SELClassic Luxury Sedan !!Original OwnerSelling my dad's 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL - the largest Mercedes sedan and the best you could get back then - a real gem! My dad babied this car for 26 years, but it didn't sit idle - it has accumulated 271,000 miles. He recently downsized and moved, and now his car has to find a new home as well. Blue metallic exterior / Blue leather interior. Power everything w/ sunroof. This car cost a small fortune back in '88 so you will find just about every option that was offered (see photo of sticker). First car I ever sat in with heated seats! V-8 engine, auto transmission. Dolby AM/FM stereo with cassette deck. Send any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.All OEM equipment and no problems with electrical system or any of the accessories. All maintenance by dealers or Mercedes trained mechanics. Steering and handling still great. I thought the A/C was fine, but compressor turns on, doesn't blow cold - needs Freon. Only issue is that springs (or load levelers?) need some attention at this time, but the ride is actually fine. Michelin tires. No dents or major body problems - has minor rust near the headlights and taillights - same spots as other MB of similar vintage. Leather interior and beautiful dashboard and console. Leather is showing its age and could use a conditioning. Carpets need a cleaning. ** NON-SMOKING DRIVER ** Given the mileage, asking $2,000 or make a serious offer.
