Vehicle Detail
You are looking a museum standard restoration of a 1979 Honda Elsinore CR250R.The bike was restored back in 2000/2001.It started out as very low hour bike.It took about a year to complete. The frame and engine are powder coated with Cardinal T009-RD01.The tank & plastic were professionally with PPG Deltron 2000 paint color matched to an NOS color sample. The bike was ridden for about 20 minutes on the access road at Hollister Hills,CA before I decided it was to nice to ride as a daily rider and I then decided to store the bike instead of ride it,so here it sat stored in my shop until now.I have made the very hard choice to sell the bike since I need to pay for a few bills and the sale of the bike will help. The bike has been completely gone through. The engine cyclinder was re Nikasil plated and NOS Honda piston and ring fitted.New bearing seals used throughout the engine. All hardware was either replaced, replated or remade. Here are my terms:I need full payment within 24 hours.I will not accept any bids outside the USA.It is the resposibility of the winning bidder to arrange and pay for shipping.I will help with crating and delivery to Forward Air in South San Fransico for $350.00.Please do not bid unless you are intend to pay for it.I will accept PayPal, I need to have full payment within 24hours. Here is what the bikes comes with:There is a new complete set of VMX plastic un drilled & uninstalled. The original engine which is not restored but is included in the sale.It is a un molested running engine with carb.Fox Forx with NOS top & bottom caps,Rear Shox are Fox, new seals and bladder's were done 13 years ago, bodies rehard anodized. The triple clamps are billet machined out of 7075-T6 clear anodized with a 7075-T6 steering stem.No pitting or dings are present on the stantions, the cleanest I have seen next to NOS.The bars are Renthals. The tank started out as a "dent free" example, so no dents that have been filled. The air box is NOS with the Fox ring.Alumnum head steady, aluminum chain guide, aluminum motor mounts.Front & rear axle are grade 5 titanium. The wheels were built with Sun rims and Buchanan stainless steel spokes with Metzler MC5 tires.NOS Keihin Carb.,NOS Carb. manifold boot,NOS control cables,NOS brake shoes.Jemco pipe. The bike started on the 2nd kick after being stored for 13 years. When the bike was stored the gear box oil was changed and a table spoon of oil poured into the cylinder. It is ready to ride or show! Thanks for looking!
