The Cartier was the Town Car Flagship model and very well equipped. I purchased this car last year from a retired pastor in Ohio who owned three of these cars and was cleaning out his collection. I drove it back from Ohio to Buffalo with no issues whatsoever. From what I can tell, I am the third owner. The pastor would use this car for traveling between Kentucky and Ohio so most of the miles on the car are highway miles. Since owning the car, it has been garage kept (as it also was with the previous owner). The last owner and I share the same love for these cars and by its current condition, it shows. I'd rate the paint job a 7/10. It is 20+ years old, so of course there are some small scratches and a ding here and there. You really have to look for them though. I'd rate the interior an 8/10. The seats are in great condition with only some minor wear on the driver's seat. NONE of the armrests are cracked, neither is the dash pad. The vehicle is always parked on a plastic tarp to prevent moisture from the concrete from attacking the undercarriage. The previous owner has had the undercarriage oil sprayed and it is FLAWLESS underneath. On to the specifics: Every single power option from the locks to the sunroof work flawlessly. Each window is fully operational. The automatic climate control operates, however the temperature function is currently either hot or cold. There doesn't seem to be much in-between. I will have this fixed for you upon delivery of the car. Conversely, the air conditioning blows ICE COLD (very important to me!). Upon purchasing the car, I performed much work on it, mostly preventive, with the exception of the fuel pump. The car was giving me a hard time starting and my diagnosis led me to find a faulty check valve in the original pump. Upon replacing it, the hard starting has since gone away and it now starts quickly without issue. Other work included a FULL Motorcraft tune-up: Plugs, Wires, Coil, Cap, Rotor, Fuel and Air filter. Idle air valve was replaced with a Motorcraft IAC (I had done this while diagnosing the fuel pump as I thought it was the issue for hard starts. Turns out it wasn't, but I left the part installed). Rear shocks were replaced with Monro Air-Adjustable. I replaced the radio with a higher end JVC unit with bluetooth. There is now a microphone in the car and the radio will connect to ANY bluetooth phone for hands-free operation through the car stereo. I was told the tires were replaced just before I purchased the car. They are Firestone Precision Touring and the date code puts them at less than 1 year old. Tread measures 9/10. I haven't had to do anything else to the car since purchasing it. I do all my own work and take a lot of pride in seeing the job gets done properly. It is registered as a historic vehicle and should qualify in any state as such for reduced registration and insurance costs. This is the nicest driving/riding Town Car I have ever owned, and I've had three. It pains me to sell but I have a new project that came in and I'll be needing to make room for it.
