Up for auction is my '93 corvette. I love it very much but just don't have the time to make her good again and garage space has become more important with a second child on the way. Depending on your location, I may be able to work with you on delivery of car for additional fee. I have an enclosed car trailer that I may be willing to use to deliver car. The good: - Car is in very nice condition overall. - when driven it was very fast, engine ran smooth - manual transmission works perfectly, clutch is good for long time, no grinding gears. - tires have low miles on them so far. - as you would expect from a corvette, she has never been in the snow, rarely saw rain either. The bad: - has not been driven in 3yrs. I over revved it on a downshift causing something to happen to motor. Still drove alright afterward for awhile but wouldn't accelerate the way you would expect. Engine developed a knock after about 50mi. I stopped driving it at that point and had planned to work on it to figure out what happened but have just been too busy to get to it and now need the garage space. I am not sure if it is simple or difficult to fix since I did not get into it so might be easily repairable or worse case scenario may need a new motor. I wish I could elaborate more on it, but that is all I know. - had a brush in with 2 deer, both in the same spot a year apart(you will see 2 accident reports in 2009 and 2010 reflecting this) that did some very minor front end damage to drivers side front as photographed. Couple small cracks around driver headlight and some paint chipped off around license plate depression in bumper. - small stain in trunk carpet where some paint spilled. - odometer is not correct, showing somewhere around 30,000mi currently I think, unable to give an exact number because a new battery is needed. I purchased it from previous owner with 9,000mi on the odometer (96,000 actual), he stated that during its emission test at 87,000, something happened while it was hooked up and zeroed out the odometer. I'm sure a lot of people would love to know how that happened. He drove it very little between 2002 and 2009 when I bought it because he developed parkinson's disease and was unable to shift anymore. - needs battery
