1978 Suzuki GS1000, second year for this classic bike. This bike is the sport model not the cruiser. It came with triple disc brakes, and has an upright riding position. I bought this bike from a long time collector, and it had been stored in his garage for at least ten years. I changed all the fluids, rebuilt the brakes, cleaned the carbs, installed new gel battery, replaced the fuel petcock, added new Avon Road-Rider tires front and rear, and also a luggage rack but I still have the original rear grab bar. This bike runs good and looks good. It sounds nice, but not too loud, thanks to the four into one Vance and Hines exhaust which was on the bike when I bought it. The bike also has the engine protection crash bars. I have added about five thousand miles in the last six months, and the mileage is now about 23,000 and I believe it to be correct. I was riding the bike to work, weather permitting, but it is too nice to use every day. I have other projects, so have decided to sell the bike. This is a very reliable and fun to ride bike, turns heads at biker bars and cruise nights!
