VINTAGE OLD CARS ||| See my other auctions for more vintage items STUDEBAKER 1956 Flight Hawk ~ Coupe Lovely Vintage Light Blue VIN #: G93845 Mileage: 76,970, engine mileage less than 40,000 Had the car since 1984 Can travel excess of 100 mph no problem, just fasten racing 4-point seat belt New Cooper tires Good strong rebuilt 289 cu. in. Engine (from a 1962 Studebaker 'Lark' V-8 289 cu. in.) with about less than 40,000 miles. - Brake drums are larger (think 12" .. rebuilt engine done by Studebaker West (Redwood City, Calif.) -No disc brakes, no power steering, no radar detector, no air bags, no super charge, no nitro boost Three on the Tree Stick and when you get to about 3000 rpm, you put it into overdrive to drop it to about 2000 rpm. Then you bring the speed up so it doesnt load down the engine Sandblasted & Powder-Coated in Gray (original color) - Lower Airscoop below the Front Bumper, - Left Front & Right Front Air Inlets above the bumper, - Fan Shroud attached to the Radiator - Air Deflector that covers engine fan Underside of seats were replaced back in 1983 with repro 'galvanized' stamped floor panels Upholstery dark blue vinyl with gross point fabric also done in 1983 all in very good condition Left side seat belt has 'racing seat' 4 point tie down, need to install the right side to match Original radio but needs repair; about ready to be 'repaired' by a man whom has worked on old radios for the last 30 years. about 5 years ago all tubes checked out okay, but recently there appears a problem, PLUS all the numbers need repainting.
