You probably will not find another SL100 nicer than this, unless it is on display, or at a museum. This bike is mostly original. It has been professionally re-painted so I consider it as partially restored. The bike when I bought it was repainted poorly, thus demanding a re-spray. Other than that, all the parts were there. The parts that were replaced are all NOS or OEM spec parts. This includes, Tires, Tubes, Chain, Cables, Fork seals, dust boots, and fork oil, Synthetic Motorcycle Mobil 1 Oil, Rubber Grommets, New OEM air filter, and a New Seat Cover. The Red parts and frame were repainted. Engine covers were re-painted, and some black parts were re-painted. All Chrome is original and cleaned up pretty good. There is some pitting on the fork tubes, rims, and chain guard. That is the only thing keeping this bike from being a museum piece. The engine runs fine and did not need any work. Carburetor was rebuilt, fuel petcock has all new gaskets. The battery seems to work fine, but I will install a new one just to be sure before auction ends. This a is a street legal motorcycle. There are no turn signals, as all SL models did not come with them. This is a dependable, easy to ride motorcycle. I am riding it almost daily, so the mileage will go up a little bit from the pictures. This bike will cruise easily up to 50mph. May go a bit faster than that, but if you need a bike that will do 55mph easily, you should look for a bigger bike. Feel free to ask any questions. Bid High and Bid Often!! Ride 'em, don't hide 'em.
