This 4 Cylinder, 4 speed manual Rail comes with VolksWagen's classic 1500cc Dual Port Engine and Chrome 4 Tube Headers. The custom hydraulic clutch and Empi quick shift Shifter add to the excitement of the entire experience. It has oversized rear Grabber St Tires mounted on 2 piece rims while the front are Chrome VolksWagen Wheels with the classic "Baby Moon" Hub Caps. This Sandrail was carefully thought out and designed by an enthusiast that wanted the extras that would not only provide the ultimate ride but maintained its durability as well. Hence, an Oversized External Oil Cooler was added while maintaining the Factory Internal Oil Cooler. Additionally, all Stainless Steel Brake Lines were installed as well as Coil Over Shocks, Oil Pressure & Volt Meter Guages, a Chrome Dress Up Kit on the Engine, an Aluminum Fuel Tank and a Clear Distributor Cap (for easy view). A Heavy Duty, removable side Canvas Body Cover was added to keep the elements out of the cab and overhead. The built in Tool Box also has a removable Canvas Cover. A removable steering wheel was installed for easy access. A solid chrome passengers side foot rest is mounted on the Diamond Plate Aluminum Floor and a 3/4" Plexi Glass Windshield was also installed. For "Street Legal" purposes, custom seatbelts secure both the driver and passenger in the vehicle. And for the night time riders, custom head and tail lights were installed as well as overhead fog lights. Over all, the sandrail drives and shifts great, is in excellent condition and is awesome! High Velocity Classics is proud to offer up for aution this totally custom, adult driven and maintained 1968 VolksWagen "STREET LEGAL" SANDRAIL. This 4 Cylinder, 4 speed manual Rail comes with VolksWagen's classic 1500cc Dual Port Engine and Chrome 4 Tube Headers.
The custom hydraulic clutch and Empi quick shift Shifter add to the excitement of the entire experience. It has oversized rear Grabber St Tires mounted on 2 piece rims while the front are Chrome VolksWagen Wheels with the classic "Baby Moon" Hub Caps.
This Sandrail was carefully thought out and designed by an enthusiast that wanted the extras that would not only provide the ultimate ride but maintained its durability as well. Hence, an Oversized External Oil Cooler was added while maintaining the Factory Internal Oil Cooler. Additionally, all Stainless Steel Brake Lines were installed as well as Coil Over Shocks, Oil Pressure & Volt Meter Guages, a Chrome Dress Up Kit on the Engine, an Aluminum Fuel Tank and a Clear Distributor Cap (for easy view).
A Heavy Duty, removable side Canvas Body Cover was added to keep the elements out of the cab and overhead. The built in Tool Box also has a removable Canvas Cover. A removable steering wheel was installed for easy access. A solid chrome passengers side foot rest is mounted on the Diamond Plate Aluminum Floor and a 3/4" Plexi Glass Windshield was also installed.
For "Street Legal" purposes, custom seatbelts secure both the driver and passenger in the vehicle. And for the night time riders, custom head and tail lights were installed as well as overhead fog lights.
Over all, the sandrail drives and shifts great, is in excellent condition and is awesome! I have tried to be as accurate as possible in my description. I welcome and encourage any questions you may have.
