1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 80K MILES ONE OWNER!!! You are bidding on an old man owned, one-owner 80K MILE 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Extended Cab SLT 5.9L Cummins with auto trans and RWD. This is a truck that spent all but the last couple months in south Texas. It was obviously not driven a lot over the last 18 years, and when it was it wasnt worked very hard. The truck never even had a trailer hitch on it prior to the last couple months. Elderly owner decided he no longer wanted or needed the truck so he had it shipped to his daughter in Georgia. Problem is, she has back problems and does not want a truck. This truck runs and drives great. It has good, smooth power and shifts like a new truck. The underside of this truck is extremely dry for an 18 year old Ram. The steering is also very tight for one of these trucks. Mechanically it is extremely solid. The only things I have picked up is the fuel sending unit does not work and occasionally there is some squeaking in the suspension over bumps or some turns. I suspect that all of the bushings are just very dry, as the truck has been sitting more than its been driven. The tires all have a lot of tread but there is some dry rotting on most of them. Cosmetically, obviously the paint is shot, but did I mention the truck only has 80K MILES! The body is pretty straight though. There is a little light damage here and there, but overall it is in good condition. I did notice that the lower rear bed corner on the driver side is a patch panel. It looks to be done fairly well, but would need some finish body work before paint. The inside of the bed barely has a ding in it; the paint is scratched up, but the bed is not beat up. The interior is in good condition with the exception of some stained carpet and a Dodge dashboard. There is a vinyl dash cap and carpet cover on the dash, but not much left underneath it. There is some wear on the drivers door arm rest, but other than that the rest of the interior is in good condition. Power windows, power locks and A/C all work well. The radio works but a couple of speakers are not working. This will make a fantastic truck for someone. Just get in and drive it.
