This is an excellent project car, but no time or money to complete. Starts on the first turn of the key every time. very good running and driving car with a 273 cubic inch 4.5 L V8 produced 200 horsepower, and with 270 lb·ft. No smoke, no knocks. Strong Transmission. Was my daily driver until my commute doubled and gas became so expensive. Interior is a little rough. Registered and insured through end of month so can test drive at any time. Prefer local sale. Cash or certified check from a known bank. No overseas buyers. I cannot attach a photobucket but have many other pictures which I will email upon request. I have had some offers, but will let auction run through the end. When the car was new: The Allanté for 1992 was priced at $58,470 for the convertible, The optional digital cluster was priced at $495 This was the last year of the multi-adjustable Recaro seating design,designed eight-way dual power seats. Allanté added GM's Pass Key (Personal Automotive Security System), utilizing a resistor pellet within the ignition key that has the ability to render the fuel system and starter inoperative if an incorrect ignition key is used. Allanté also received a new speed-sensitive damper. This system firmed up the suspension at 25 mph (40 km/h) and again at 60 mph (97 km/h). The firmest setting was also used when starting from a standstill until 5 mph (8.0 km/h). Another change was a variable-assist steering system. In 1991, Cadillac added a power-latching mechanism for the convertible top, and the digital instrument cluster. See below for work completed. I have all receipts for all work listed: 4/20/13 - New Water Pump and thermostat. Radiator serviced 1/24/13 - new Harmonic Balancer, new Serpentine Belt, new Catalytic Converter, new Timing Belt 11/13/12 - new Front crank seal, new oil sending unit, new oil pan 5/31/12 - New ABS "brain" and brake booster, New calipers, rotors, and pads Front. New pads rear, new a/c belt and idler pulley installed. 2/29/12 - electrical short diagnosed and repaired 2/25/12 - new roof motors (right side and rear), new driver information center 1/9/12 - transmission and power steering systems serviced 12/30/11- Fuel System Service, fuel filter, radiator flush. New tires and battery a week or two before Christmas 2011 There was probably other work completed, but can't find receipts and can't remember for sure. The car did run hot on one occasion when I owned it. I shut it down and had the water pump replaced immediately. See above for the date. Car definitely needs the following work: left side roof motor rear bumper repair (cracked) crack in front bumper seal between bottom of top and deck lid dash pad (very rough) various dings rear view mirror (have the mirror.... it fell off) Other info: all power options work except antenna radio/cd/cassette appears to work but no sound (speakers or amp?) no leaks (including top), original spare doughnut and jack Not a speck of rust anywhere shifts really well and still quite powerful cruise control doesn't work.
