Vehicle Detail

I have been and am a car collector for a long time. Last year I sold 2 cars to get 2 more this year. I bought this extremely nice 1960 ElCamino with the thought of putting it in my collection but health issues have forced my selling it.This ElCamino has all the right equipment and runs and drives as you would expect of a nice southern car. Not a Northeastern rustbucket. Restored completely a few years ago by one of the finest Impala restorers in the industry for himself. The engine was rebuilt about 2 years ago and 2,000 miles. Painted in PPG Cadillac pearl white and a custom red and white vinyl and cloth interior. No sagging headliner, bad upholstery, sagging sunvisors, or dirty carpet. The 348 was bored and stroked to 409 [actually 412] with forged crank, pistons, roller rockers,2-4 barrel 600 cfm Edelbrocks on a new manifold. Hedman headers with magnaflow exhaust gives it a "Quiet Growl". Equipped with modern AC [Nice and Cold], power steering, electronic ignition, aux. fuel pump, and a 700R4 overdrive transmission. A retro sound system has internal cassette and a CD hookup behind the seat.Engine is detailed with a combination of chrome and billet and shows very well. Engine is tight with no leaks. Driveline is 3:76 Posi. with the correct HD diff pumpkin with the drain on the bottom. Also equipped with a very tight fitting Fiberglass bed cover that goes up on hydraulic struts. Has a carpeted inside cover and yes, I have the keys. New American mags with 17x8 front and 17x91/2 rears with Nitto performance tires. Also has the spare tire under the bed where it belongs. Disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. Glass is in good condition. Hallogen headlights-all 4. A lot of money was spent on this car and I am putting a reserve price on it that is realistic to sell the car. It rus and drives with no issues and will WOW anyone that sees it. I got 18 MPG on a 100 mile trip with the secondaries disconnected. The OD transmission makes all the difference and I do have the seconday linkage for the carbs if you want to burn more gas and go FAST. They build about 16,000 ElCaminos from 1959 to 1960 so there are rather rare and always bring a lot of money at the TV auctions. This is what I was going to do: 1. add a power booster to the brakes 2. The car has an air ride system in the rear but needs new bags, pump and lines are fine 3. Fully detail under the car. It's all there and works with no excuses. Just needs a new home. Questions call 352-342-7888On May-28-14 at 05:47:23 PDT, seller added the following information: I had ordered new rear chrome trim which arrived and will go with the car. The existing isn't really bad but I felt that new trim would make it POP!!!
