Vehicle Detail

1976 Porsche "DP 935" Slantnose / 911 Carrera 3.0 (Euro Spec) Manual 5 Speed with less than 42,000 original miles (67,000 kilometers), which is just over 1,000 miles per year! I would love to keep this little rocket ship but I am relocating from the North East to the West Coast and I unfortunately won't be able to bring this Porsche nor my daily driver with me. The car is currently in Pennsylvania and has a clean PA title. About the DP 935: http://www.dp935registry.com/ About the Carrera 3.0: http://911carrera3.com/ http://911carrera3.com/carrera-3-0-facts/ "...the Carrera 3′s 2993cc engine used the same die-cast aluminium crank-case as its awesome cousin, the newly introduced Porsche 930 or ’911 Turbo’.""...only 173 Carrera 3.0s, verified by their chassis numbers, have been registered over the years with the Porsche Club Great Britain: 46 coupe and 18 targa models from the 1976 model year and 75 coupes and 34 targas from 1977 (a further 33 claim to be Carrera 3.0s but don’t have a chassis number registered). ….. that only 3687 examples of the Carrera 3.0 were produced compared to nearly 58,000 911SCs and 76,500 3.2 Carreras."Nearly One-of-a-kind BeautyVIN (Chassis): 9116600800 Engine: 6660943 (numbers matching) For Model/Year/Engine/Chassis reference: http://www.elferhelfer.com/fz-ident/1974-77.html This Porsche 935 is a rare, nearly one-of-a-kind automobile. The authentic DP body conversion was done in the mid eighties (for $25k) by Bob Smith Coachworks (Where million-dollar Ferraris go for R&R) . The selection of a good 911 as the "donor" was the first step. This particular car is based on a 1976 Euro-spec 911, which comes with a larger displacement 3.0 liter engine (the Carrera 3.0 was never officially imported into the United States – the 911S sold in the US was a variation of the 2.7 litre model with 165bhp). The fuel-injected engine is normally aspirated, whereas most 935's were built on turbocharged cars. This difference is what allows this car to sell for 1/2 of what a turbo would. LOUD, FAST, RELIABLE and FUN! Some highlights:- 17" Racing Dynamic Wheels - DP Motorsports front, rockers and rear quarters - DP aero mirrors- 935 front and rear bumpers- Front oil cooler in spoiler- 3.6 RS adjustable wing- RS door panels (door pulls)- Sunroof- Custom seats, with drivers side 4-point harness- WEVO short shift- Fabspeed exhaust tip- European gauges- Alpine CD player Recent $$$ervice: - NEW OEM SACHS KF200-01 NEW CLUTCH KIT - NEW FRONT BRAKES AND ROTORS - NEW BOSCH FUEL ACCUMULATOR - NEW BOSCH OEM FUEL FILTER - NEW HOOD SHOCKS - NEW BATTERY - NEW SHIFT COUPLER BUSHINGS + LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT - NEW LUBRICATION, OIL CHANGE AND FILTER SERVICE While this is not a show car, it runs great and is a pleasure to drive. Overall, the car is a real head-turner and the classic Guards Red paint has a great shine to it, but the few chips on the body here and there are common to what you would find on most fiberglass Porsche's. If sold locally, the eBay auction for this car will end.
